It is important to understand the benefits of Botox and how it can help give the face a smoother, more youthful look. Botox works by blocking the communication between nerves and muscles. When this happens, the muscles that cause the skin to crease relax, and the skin appears smoother. Botox helps to soften wrinkles in areas where muscle movement, over time, has caused creases to form.

It's not your age that determines when BOTOX® Cosmetic is right for you, it's the severity of your lines. In fact, 64% of plastic surgeons report seeing a rise in cosmetic surgery or injectable treatments for patients in their early 30’s.
The truth is, everyone's lines form differently. The timing can be influenced by a combination of factors, from cellular changes that may occur over time, to reduction of collagen, to genetic factors, or damage caused by free radicals from the sun and the environment.
Whenever your lines start to bother you, speak with your aesthetic provider. They can help determine if treatment is right for you!
There is no such thing as a “generic” form of BOTOX® Cosmetic. Be wary of discount products or “cheap” BOTOX® Cosmetic. Medical formulations, potency, and approved doses vary among products, so no one product can take the place of another. FDA labeling states that BOTOX® Cosmetic is not interchangeable with any other product. If it doesn’t say BOTOX® Cosmetic on the vial, then it isn’t BOTOX® Cosmetic.
BOTOX® Cosmetic has a one-of-a-kind formulation. And BOTOX® Cosmetic is the most widely researched and studied treatment of its kind. Backed by more than 16 years of published studies, the safety and efficacy of BOTOX® Cosmetic have been described in 528 peer-reviewed articles in scientific and medical journals.
Finally, Allergan, the maker of BOTOX® Cosmetic, owns the entire manufacturing and packaging process, which helps ensure the reliability and safety of each vial.

Your specialist will discuss your treatment goals and perform a facial analysis to determine the appropriate treatment areas for you. If the provider deems you to be an appropriate candidate, the injection may take place on that same day. Some patients report that being injected with BOTOX® Cosmetic feels like a pinch. Your specialist may use ice to numb the treatment area or if you are concerned about discomfort, your specialist may apply a topical numbing cream before administering your treatment.

DYSPORT® works by smoothing out wrinkles, which are caused by repeated movements and muscle contractions. One injection into each of the 5 points between and above the eyebrows temporarily prevents muscle contractions that cause frown lines. In other words: natural-looking results that look and feel like you.
Just one 10-20 minute treatment may help improve the look of the frown lines between your eyebrows for up to 5 months. The results of repeat treatments may be comparable to your first treatment. Another plus? There’s minimal downtime after your treatment, which means you can get back to your day faster.
Dysport is a convenient way to feel a beautiful boost, but not a total transformation. With 95% of users* satisfied with only 2 treatments per year and 97% of users agreeing that the treatment looked natural.
There should be little to no downtime after your treatment. Dysport delivers noticeable results in as little as 24 hours after treatment but typically within 2-3 days, with results that may last up to 5 months. The results of repeat treatments may be comparable to your first treatment.

Dysport and Botox are both made from botulinum toxin type A. All botulinum toxins have the same mechanism of action: blocking the release of acetylcholine (ACh) and preventing the muscles from contracting to maintain the aesthetic effect. However, the dose of Dysport is not the same as the dose of any other botulinum toxin product and cannot be compared to the dosage of any other botulinum toxin product that you may have previously used.
